Here are a few of the most common questions I get asked.
How do I buy an original?
As I create new paintings and works throughout the year, I will release them individually. These works will be added on my website and also social media. These are one of a kind paintings, so what I release now, may not be there tomorrow!

What type of prints do you offer?
I offer giclée prints on canvas or paper. I also offer stretched canvas prints ready to hang on your wall.
How do I care for my print?
Prints should be framed as soon as possible to avoid damage. For stretched canvas prints, keep away from contact with water or direct sunlight.
Do you work with Interior Designers?
Yes, I am open to creating custom paintings in any size that suits your client's vision. Please contact me for a consultation.
How long does it take to receive my artwork?
Thank you for your recent purchase. Each painting and print requires different drying and framing time. Please allow 2-3 weeks for domestic orders and 3-4 weeks for international orders to arrive.
How are shipping costs determined?
Shipping costs are determined based on dimensions, weight and type of artwork purchased, as well as shipping destination. Shipping costs include packaging and handling. Please note that artwork may be subject to duties, taxes and/or fees according to your country's regulations. Please consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes. For shipping estimate, please contact me to discuss your specific situation.
How will large artwork be shipped to me?
I work with qualified art framers to package artwork with the utmost care. Large paintings are removed from the wooden bars and rolled into a tube for shipping. Any good framer may re-stretch the canvas for you, or you may do it yourself.
Who actually owns the artwork?
Please note that Melanie Anne Bitner retains rights to all artwork, even those sold and commissioned as original artwork. Melanie Anne Bitner retains the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork unless the collector has purchased full rights to the artwork (this is in addition to simply purchasing the original). The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.
Returns?
All sales are final. Exceptions are made in case of damage incurred during shipping. If this happens, please contact me within seven days of receiving your artwork. Commission pieces cannot be cancelled once begun and are subject to the terms of our commission agreement.
Does colour vary from what I see on my screen?
Please take the time to read descriptions carefully and check colours on multiple screens if you are concerned about variations.
Can I preview what an artwork will look like in my own house?
Yes! Please take a photo of your blank wall in bright and even lighting. Email me the image and I will place the artwork on your wall digitally and send you a proof. Please note that exact sizing may vary.
